After many of us enjoyed the 2019 ACM SIGUCCS conference in New Orleans, it is time to see what’s possible in San Diego, California for next year’s conference, taking place November 8-11, 2020.
You can help by thinking about presentations you could make and informing your colleagues (including those at nearby institutions who may not be familiar with SIGUCCS) of all that SIGUCCS and our conference has to offer. The call for participation is coming in January, but people can sign up now to the SIGUCCS mailing list, start reading the next book for the SIGUCCS Book Club, and connect to SIGUCCS via social media. Visit siguccs.org for details.
October and November were busy months for the conference core team as planning for the 2020 conference took off. After meeting on site to brainstorm about the conference and experience San Diego, we are confident it will be a great venue for the engaging programming and interpersonal networking that are key features of SIGUCCS. After a short trip from the airport you’ll find the conference hotel directly on the bay and in walking distance of the USS Midway Museum, Little Italy, the Gaslamp Quarter, and other San Diego sights. Plan now to participate in the 2020 ACM SIGUCCS conference and encourage others you know in higher education IT support to do the same.
– Scott Trimmer, SIGUCCS 2020 Conference Chair
