Career development doesn’t have to be about career advancement; some technology professionals do not aspire to become supervisors and directors and are content with their current jobs. Choosing to stay in a role presents its own challenges as there is a fine line between contentment and complacency. This webinar will discuss this topic from both an employee’s and a supervisor’s perspective. How does one remain a productive team member willing to learn new skills and to adapt to different organizational structures over time? How does one supervise team members who have reached a career plateau either by choice or circumstance?
Kathy Fletcher is an Information Technology Advanced Support team member at West Virginia University. She has a Master’s degree in Statistics and has written several papers including “Creating Self-Paced Training Materials for an ETD Program” and “Fine Tuning Online Faculty Development Workshops”.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
