
Susan Malisch – Loyola University of Chicago
Since 2005, Susan Malisch has served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Loyola University Chicago, a nationally-ranked, comprehensive university with 13 schools and colleges, and 17,000 students in a multi-campus environment. In this capacity, Susan leads the development and implementation of the University’s information technology (IT) strategic direction, and delivers IT services that support student learning, faculty research and teaching, administrative processes, and public service. She is frequently sought out in leadership roles for enterprise-wide strategy and execution, and demonstrates an exceptional ability to create sound governance processes and collaborative structures to facilitate decision-making. Prior to joining Loyola, Susan held technology leadership roles at Novell, Cambridge Technology Partners, UCLA, and ATT (formerly Southwestern Bell Communications). Susan has received numerous leadership awards including the Leader of the Year Award from the Society of Information Management (SIM) International, Recognizing Excellence Award from Black Data Processing Association (BDPA) Chicago Chapter, and CIO of the Year Award from Executives Club of Chicago/SIM Chicago/Association of IT Professionals Chicago. She is a member of Educause, the Economic Club of Chicago, and serves on the SIM National Board, as well as Board Trustee for the SIM Chicago Chapter.
