ACM SIGUCCS 2025 is just one week away, and I couldn\u2019t be more excited for this year\u2019s theme:\u00a0Peak Performance: Innovate, Collaborate, Elevate.<\/em>\u00a0As we come\u00a0 together, we have an incredible opportunity to share ideas, learn from\u00a0 one another, and push the boundaries of innovation in technology and\u00a0 higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This conference is more than just sessions and\u00a0 keynotes\u2014it\u2019s about the connections we make, the challenges we tackle\u00a0 together, and the inspiration we take back to our institutions. Whether\u00a0 you\u2019re a first-time attendee or a returning SIGUCCS\u00a0 veteran, I encourage you to engage, ask questions, and collaborate with\u00a0 your peers. We encourage you to check out the full agenda<\/a> and download Sched now to start planning your schedule to ensure you don\u2019t miss a moment of the excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we have two exciting panel sessions\u00a0 planned, and the participants would like to gather questions for their\u00a0 discussion. Please provide your questions by the end of this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first of these panels is \u201cStudent Voices\u201d and\u00a0 will take place on Tuesday afternoon. Our panel will include students\u00a0 from various universities discussing what life is like seeking support\u00a0 for their IT needs on campus, in classrooms,\u00a0 and online.\u00a0Provide your suggestions for questions here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second of these panels is \u201cCARE: An\u00a0 Empathy-Based Approach\u201d where our SIGUCCS member panelists will discuss\u00a0 how they approach the management of student employees, and it will take\u00a0 place on Wednesday morning.\u00a0Provide your suggestions for questions here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are coming to Denver early or arriving early\u00a0 on Sunday, why not explore the city a little. We are not far from some\u00a0 interesting museums like the Denver Art Museum<\/a>, Clyfford Still Museum<\/a>, Kirkfield Museum of Fine and Decorative Art<\/a>, Molly Brown House Museum<\/a>, or the History Colorado Center<\/a>. Check out the current exhibits\u00a0 at each to decide where you might like to explore!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigating around the hotel on the 16th Street Mall\u00a0 during construction may require some extra planning, but there are\u00a0 still plenty of convenient ways to explore the area. The free MallRide\u00a0 shuttle, which typically runs along 16th Street,\u00a0 may have detours or modified stops, so be sure to check updated routes\u00a0 on our web site<\/a>.\u00a0 Pedestrian access is maintained, though some sidewalks\u00a0 and intersections may be temporarily closed or rerouted. Many shops,\u00a0 restaurants, and attractions remain open, and alternative side streets\u00a0 offer additional walkable paths. We recommend allowing extra time to get\u00a0 to your destination and using navigation apps\u00a0 or hotel concierge services for real-time updates on construction\u00a0 impacts. Despite the work in progress, the vibrant energy of downtown\u00a0 Denver remains, offering plenty to see and do just steps from your stay!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
