{"id":140,"date":"2017-01-18T10:01:52","date_gmt":"2017-01-18T10:01:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siguccs.hosting.acm.org\/Conference\/2017\/?page_id=140"},"modified":"2017-08-27T15:54:17","modified_gmt":"2017-08-27T15:54:17","slug":"awards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/siguccs.org\/Conference\/2017\/awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Penny Crane Award<\/h3>\n<p>The ACM SIGUCCS\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.siguccs.org\/penny-crane.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Penny Crane Award for Distinguished Service<\/a>\u00a0is a high-level award to recognize significant, multiple contributions from individuals over an extended period of time.<\/p>\n<h3>Hall of Fame<\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.siguccs.org\/hall-of-fame.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACM SIGUCCS Hall of Fame Award<\/a>\u00a0is an ongoing, web-based recognition of the many individuals who have contributed their time and energies to one or more things that have materially benefited SIGUCCS members in some way.<\/p>\n<h3>Communication Awards<\/h3>\n<p>Each year ACM SIGUCCS sponsors a competition to honor the best publications, websites and promotional material produced by university and college centers. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.siguccs.org\/communication_awards.shtml\">ACM Communication Awards<\/a>\u00a0lists past winners and\u00a0instructions for those interested in participating.<\/p>\n<p>The competition recognizes excellence in developing useful and attractive publications in a variety of media categories and provides SIGUCCS conference participants with an opportunity to review publications that may help them develop or enhance their own work. The winning entries will be displayed during the conference for perusal by the conference participants.<\/p>\n<p>Your entry must be developed by staff affiliated with your college or university. Institutions may enter up to three entries in each category.
